We're sure you've noticed the spam that's getting around the site. If you haven't, here's the scoop. Spammers have been using users' accounts to send out all sorts of ads. They're the ones that say something like "You won an IPod" or "See who has a crush on you".
Want to get rid of them as much as we do? You can help. In your preferences, change your password. Change it to something secure, with both numbers and letters. If you have a current password like: password, 123456, or your user name, you're more likely to have it stolen. If you get one of these comments, just delete it. The account owner probably didn't know their account was being used, so tell them to change their password. If we all make spamming harder to do, there's a chance they'll give it up.
